Zeolite used for efficiency of Urea
April 08, 2009, 09:52:50 PM by Pacific in .
Nowadays ‘Badan Pengkajian dan Penerapan Teknologi (BPPT)’ Indonesia already do few research finally found new formula urea fertilizer which more efficient. That Urea fertilizer mixed with Zeolite which has function as fertilizer string, so fertilizer won’t be easier dissolve in water, even nutrient element release can being controlled appropriated with plant age.

Natural zeolite minerals used to improve degraded natural resources and farm-animal health:
April 08, 2009, 09:51:40 PM by Pacific in .
The zeolite clinoptilolite had as much as a 29.5 percent increase in biomass production and improved nitrogen-use efficiency. Fishpond water had its BOD, COD, and NH3 content significantly reduced by the addition of small amounts of zeolite, 29.3%, 50.9%, and 42.0% respectively. In addition, turtle diseases decreased in zeolite-amended water while their survival rate increased.

Pet Litter and Odor Control
April 08, 2009, 09:49:35 PM by Pacific in .
Natural zeolites are uniquely effective in adsorbing ammonia and also adsorb hydrogen sulfide. These properties make natural zeolites ideal for use in pet litter to prevent emanation of irritating odors. For similar reasons, natural zeolites can be used for effective control of irritating gases in horse stalls, barns, kennels, etc.

Use of Clinoptilolite Zeolites for Ammonia-N Transfer and Retention in Integrated Aquaculture Systems and for Improving Pond Water Quality before Discharge
April 08, 2009, 09:43:10 PM by Pacific in .
Natural zeolites are aluminosilicate minerals found in volcanogenic sedimentary rocks worldwide (Mumpton, 1999). Natural zeolites possess several important properties including adsorption, cation-exchange, dehydration-rehydration, and catalysis. Considerable scientific research in the last few decades has identified broad applications for natural zeolites in construction materials, soil improvements for water and nutrient retention, treatment of water and wastewater for removal of heavy metals and nutrients, dietary supplements for farm-raised animals, health care, and other beneficial uses (Mumpton, 1999).
